      Aloha O'ahu RPCVs!

Our now annual tradition of supporting the Hawai'i Foodbank will be taking place on Saturday, August 22, at 8am-12pm. Volunteers will be working inside the warehouse to help pack more than 2,000 boxes of USDA choice food for kūpuna on O'ahu and Kaua'i.

RPCVHI is seeking at least 5-7 people to participate in this effort!

The activity is open to individuals 16 or older.  Volunteers must be able to stand, bend, lift (up to 20 lbs), and perform repetitive movements.

If you are interested and available, please register to the left by August 8, 2026.

The Senior Food Box program helps to combat the poor health conditions often found among kūpuna who are experiencing food insecurity. During a time when federal food assistance is facing a significant reduction, these food boxes can help vulnerable kūpuna from having to choose between food and other basic needs. Read more about the Senior Food Box Program here.

RPCV-HI will send out more details to volunteers prior to the event. Send any questions to rpcvhi.treasurer@gmail.com.
