RPCVHI would enjoy having as many RPCVs as possible to participate in the Honolulu Pride Parade on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026.

With all the cutbacks in Peace Corps recruiting staff, the Affiliate Groups are asked to help recruit for the Peace Corps.  Marching in a very big, popular parade demonstrates to the public that Peace Corps is alive and well and still sending PCVS overseas.  We need 10 to 15 volunteers to walk with our float in the parade. PLEASE consider participating in the parade.

RPCVHI will decorate a car (our float) with world flags.  Walkers are encouraged to wear a Peace Corps shirt and carry a "proud to serve" sign, both available at the start of the parade. RPCVs may bring friends and family to participate in the parade.

It is very important to register on this link for information about the parade. Final meet up details will be sent to RPCVs who register.

Logistics:

• Carpooling is highly recommended as parking at the beginning of the parade is limited.  AND parking at the end of the parade at the Kapiolani Park/near the Waikiki Shell will be limited.
• Parade participants should be dropped off at the Magic Island start by 2:00 pm.

Register here to participate in the parade.
